Jesus heals the official’s son in John 4:43-54
Royal official comes to Jesus for healing. This healing is
for someone else; his son. He wanted Jesus to heal him at his home. However,
Jesus spoke the word of his son’s healing. While on his way home, his servants
met him with the good news of his son’s healing. It was the exact time Jesus
had spoken the word. This led the whole household into believing in Jesus.
Some brief thoughts about this miracle:
- · We can come to Jesus in prayer for someone else.
- · We need to have faith Jesus can heal.
- · We need to have faith Jesus wants to heal.
- · We should not limit the means Jesus uses. He is capable of doing anything and everything.
- · Jesus is faithful. We can depend on His word. When He speaks a word, it will come to pass. Even if all odds are against this word or against us, it will come to pass for everything is possible for the Creator of the universe.
- · It is not about you or me. It is about Jesus. He will be glorified in His children. He dwells in them. He enables them to fulfill His dreams in their lives.
What about you? Has Jesus spoken a word to you personally?
Has He instilled a dream in you? Is it taking too long? Don’t worry; it will come
to fulfillment in His time. He sees the whole picture and He has everything under
His control. His main concern is that you will be ready for what He wants to do
in your life.
